The weather is changeable so here are some ways you can stay informed:

We have cameras located on Northwoods and in Truckee. Visit the Truckee Weather Cam and create a login to check traffic and see how much snow is on the ground.

Check the current road conditions.

For weather in Truckee visit The Weather Channel.

Check California Highway Patrol’s Truckee Facebook page for updates. Vehicles with 4WD or AWD with good snow tires or snow chains are necessary to access Tahoe Donner during the winter. During storms, there is usually chain control on I-80, CA-89, and 267.
